This policy explains what happens to the information you enter into the Training Optimized assistant and what is stored on your own device.

1. Information you enter into the chat

The questions and any other text you type into the assistant are transmitted to the chatbot service that generates responses. Please do not enter information you would not want transmitted to a third-party service, including full names, contact details, identification numbers, or detailed personal health information.

2. Conversation history stored in your browser

The conversation list in the sidebar is saved using your browser's local storage on the device you are using. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us as a stored record, and is not synced between devices or browsers. You can remove it at any time using "Clear all history" in the sidebar, or by clearing your browser's site data.

3. Voice input and spoken replies

Using the microphone is optional. The assistant works entirely by typing, and the microphone is never opened until you select the microphone control and confirm.

Where your speech is transcribed

Speech-to-text is performed by your browser, not by this website. Where your browser supports on-device transcription, the site requests it, which keeps the audio and the transcript on your computer. Where it does not, your browser transcribes using its own online service, which means the audio is sent to the browser maker — for example Google in Chrome. Before the microphone opens for the first time, the site tells you which of the two applies on your browser.

Voice recordings can reveal more than the words spoken. Please do not say anything into the assistant that you would not be willing to have transmitted to your browser maker, and use typing instead if you are unsure.

What this website does with audio

This website does not record, store, upload or transmit any audio. It receives only the text your browser produces, which is then treated exactly like a typed question. Nothing is written to disk beyond your choice to allow the microphone, which is remembered in your browser so you are not asked every time.

Spoken replies

Reading a reply aloud uses the speech voices already installed on your device. No text is sent anywhere to produce the audio.

4. Chatbot and other service providers

The assistant is provided by Chatbase and is embedded on this website in a frame served from chatbase.co. When you type a question, it is sent to Chatbase, which generates the response. Chatbase processes and may retain that text under its own privacy terms.

Because the assistant runs inside a frame belonging to Chatbase, anything you type goes directly to Chatbase rather than passing through this website first. Chatbase may also set its own cookies or browser storage inside that frame. This website cannot read, control or delete them.

5. Technical information

Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure that serves these pages may record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp, for security and reliability purposes.

6. Cookies and similar storage

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. It uses browser storage for four purposes only: to keep conversation history on your device, to remember whether the sidebar is expanded or collapsed, to remember that you agreed to use the microphone, and to remember an explicit light or dark appearance choice. Selecting “System” removes the stored appearance choice.

The embedded assistant frame is served by Chatbase and may set its own cookies or storage, which this website does not control. If you need a cookie banner for your jurisdiction, that frame is the reason.

8. Retention

Browser-stored conversation history remains on your device until you delete it or clear your browser data. Retention by the chatbot provider and the hosting provider is governed by their terms and must be confirmed here: [ADD RETENTION PERIODS].

9. Sharing

Information is shared with service providers only to the extent needed to operate the assistant, and where required by law. Information entered into the chat is not sold.

10. Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect this service, including encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and no absolute guarantee of security can be given.

11. Your choices

Choose what you type — the assistant does not require personal information to answer a question.
Use the microphone or don't. It is optional, opt-in, and the assistant is fully usable by typing.
Delete a single conversation, or clear all history, from the sidebar.
Clear your browser's site data to remove all locally stored information.
